 Werkbund Exhibition,1914,Gropius  Werkbund exhibition was held in Germany at 1914. Walter Gropius and Adolf Meyer are the designers who designed the model factory of exhibition. There are also other designers who designed model theater and etc. German government funded for the whole exhibition and they spent nearly 5 million dollars on this exhibition during 1914. The exhibition was started on May 5 th 1914 supposed to be finish by October but shut it down early on August due to World War I and there were two more Werkbund exhibition after that. Werkbund exhibition often described “The Bauhaus Exhibition” even though it’s not the exhibition that Bauhaus was doing. Gropius himself coordinated the display of the German architecture in collaboration with the former Bauhaus teachers like Marcel Breuer, Herbert Bayer, and Laszlo Moholy-Nagy. A School Ahead of its Time Design by Walter Gropius the Bauhaus in Germany Dessau is an outstanding example of the modern movement. Been one of the first schools of design it brought together the most magnificent contemporary architects and artists and an innovative center for training. The name of the school translate to "Construction House" in German which couldn’t have been such a perfect choice. The Bauhaus in Dessau, been the most famous of all the three (others been in Weimar and Berlin) is the product of previous movements such as the arts and crafts movement, with much more emphasis on modern materials such as steel, concrete, and glass [2]. Its intent, according to Gropius was to integrate all of the arts, an integral part of the things of life, necessary for everyone in a civilized society [7]. Bauhaus Dessau, located in Dessau, Germany.  The building was commissioned by the city of Dessau, and designed by Walter Gropius, the founder of the Bauhaus. The construction was begun in autumn 1925, and signed off in December 1926. The total area of Bauhaus contains approximately 256,000sq-ft of floor space. The time was after WW1. The Weimar Republic united the Germany. The Bauhaus had been developing by the government. There was a Bauhaus located in Weimar founded in 1919. The students produce their new designs and create exhibition in Bauhaus. Many purchasers form the west came to Bauhaus to order their designs. Sounds like the Bauhaus Weimar was very successful during the period. However, the school funding had cut off by the education department because of the political issue. The Bauhaus Weimar had closed in 1925. And the School were looking for alternative sources of funding for continue the school. Then they have moved to Dessau to continue their business. The...
