New Lanark, (South Lanarkshire, Scotland); 1798-1815; Industrialization and the City New Lanark is situated at South Lanarkshire in Scotland. It is built by Robert Owen who was an utopist from 1798 to 1815. New Lanark is beside the River Clyde and has millworker houses and waterfalls. New Lanark is World heritage recognized village. Before Owen got to the village there were some cotton mills, water wheels, and some mill buildings. Owen focused on the idea of creating the concept of the Garden City and developing social and economic systems among the village. It is renowned as World Heritage because the construction was well designed to fulfill the needs of the villagers, Owen created a model of industrial communities and bring in education, work practices and etc. Robert Owen was a Utopian Socialist who developed Philosophy thinking and developed New Lanark.
