Villa Moissi, (Unbuild), Modern architecture R. He
Villa Moissi is an unfinished project of the Austrian architect Adolf Loos. It should be the residence of actor Alexander Moise and his wife Lido in Venice.

The eastern facade of this cube and terraced building has pure Mediterranean features. If the panels are not torn, there will be a balanced arrangement of windows in most of the upper part of the patio. The living room is located on an upper floor with spectacular views of Venice. An external staircase near the entrance leads to the terrace near the room and serves as a study.
The prototype of the project had set as cube design with heavy plaster cut through the top. Living upstairs connected to second floor from the edge of the building can see different landscape of Venice. The outdoor staircase also connected next to entrance to the terrace next to drawing room.
The facade of the house can be seen from the wall of the living room. Its exterior wall is covered with rough plaster, showing a gloomy tone, withdrawn to the street, while the private walls have a lively balcony. The roof can also be accessed from the first floor.
This is certainly not the case where Raumplan has different levels of stairs. Here, the service and bedroom must pass. These rooms - each room has its own height - if located in the center, the raised floor part and the lower ceiling on both sides of the half floor allow circulation through the passage of the middle area.
Design never performed. In Slaon d'Automne in 1923, Loos designed a model for his first show in Paris, especially the project with its sober design, front and back dynamics - marking the forerunner of modern architecture.
Those opening were in rectangular shape but not same as Le Corbusier’s idea. Large rectangular openings should be windows opening for light reflect to interior. The horizontal rectangular openings had set in the bottom of the building. It could be a ventilation for basement.
